History
GCC has been in the Cyprus computer market since 1987, originally being
the exclusive business partner for Cyprus of the Digital Equipment
Corporation (Digital).
After five successful years in the Cyprus
market, GCC was transformed in 1992 into Digital Equipment (Cyprus) Ltd,
a fully owned subsidiary of Digital, with all GCC’s staff on board.
In 1994, Digital worldwide underwent a major
restructuring and downsizing process. One outcome of its new market
strategy was that GCC Computers took over Digital’s operations in Cyprus
and was appointed as its Distributor Country Representative for the
complete range of Digital products and services in Cyprus.
Since then, GCC has maintained its
relationship with Digital’s successors, Compaq and HP, and has steadily
enhanced its portfolio by adding new HW, SW and Middle-Ware Products.
Moreover, in cooperation with reputable
international ISVs, GCC is now geared towards total business solutions
